Getting Above it All

August 30, 2026August 30, 2026 by Kevan V

Sometimes it helps to get a different perspective on things.

I got a gift certificate for a sight seeing flight for my birthday earlier this month. The flight went from Vyškov to Brno and back.

Here’s a few pictures from the flight:

While waiting for the flight to get organized, I snapped a picture of our ride.
Climbing out from Vyškov.
Going past Luleč.
Habrovany (foreground) and Olšany.
Kovalovice (left) and Viničně Šumice.
Podolí (forground) with Brno in the distance.
Approaching Brno from the south-east, over the Slatina and Černovice districts.
City cathedral and city centre (upper left), main train station, and Galerie Vaňkovka shopping centre.
Brno Exhibition grounds
Fying past Kraví hora, the exhibition grounds and Bohunice district are in the background.
A view over the Královo pole district (foreground).
Leaving Brno over the Líšeň district.
Flying over the main square of Vyškov on the return trip.
Just a nice view of a typical South Moravian landscape.
